Service Executive

The Service Executive at La Table d’ Emma plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless daily operation, from opening to closing. This position involves taking orders, assisting with table settings, basic cashiering, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding service standards as per management guidelines. The Service Executive is also responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling inventory, addressing customer feedback, and collaborating with the restaurant team to deliver a pleasant dining experience.
Roles & Responsibility
- Assist in the smooth operation of daily service, including opening and closing procedures, taking orders,
setting tables, and maintaining cleanliness. - Ensure all pre-opening duties are completed daily.
- Perform basic cashiering duties accurately.
- Provide service according to established procedures and standards.
- Familiarise oneself with the menu and beverage list, and confidently recommend items and specials to customers.
- Assist with daily inventory and report any losses or damages.
- Handle customer complaints and feedback effectively, communicating issues to immediate managers for resolution.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, appearance and professionalism.
- Coordinate with the restaurant team (stewards/bussers, kitchen staff and bar staff) to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
- Uphold table etiquette and contribute to maintaining a pleasant restaurant ambiance.
- Perform other related duties as required by the assistant and/or restaurant manager.
Requirements

Host / Hostess / Receptionist

As the first point of contact for all guests visiting La Table d’ Emma, the Host/Hostess plays a crucial role in providing a warm welcome and ensuring a smooth dining experience. This position involves managing reservations, coordinating the flow of guests, and assisting the service team to maintain a well-presented dining environment.
Roles & Responsibility
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage the restaurant’s reservation system, taking phone calls to book and confirm guest reservations.
- Assist the service team in ensuring the dining room is clean, well-presented, and all tables are set for guests.
- Coordinate the flow of guests in and out of the restaurant to ensure efficient seating.
- Manage the restaurant’s waitlist and communicate accurate wait times to guests.
- Perform other related administrative duties as required by the owner and restaurant manager.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, including experience with reservation systems.
- Must be able to commit to split shifts, 5 days per week.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the restaurant operates 7 days a week.

Commis Cook
- Department/Group: Kitchen/Back of House

- Position Type: Full-Time
The Commis Cook is responsible for food preparation and maintaining kitchen standards at La Table d’ Emma.
This role involves preparing ingredients, following recipes, and ensuring cleanliness and hygiene.
Roles & Responsibility
- Mise en place
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of various dishes
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes under the guidance of the team, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and adherence to food safety standards.
- Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
- Monitor food quality during preparation and service to ensure it meets the restaurant’s standards.
Requirements
- Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply
- Recognised culinary academic qualifications will be an added advantage
- Be able to work in team based and fast paced environment
- Have a positive attitude towards learning and collaboration.
- Physical stamina and ability to work standing for extended periods
- Must be able to commit to split shifts, 5 days per week.
